Athena Nicolaou

Athena supports clients through structured, progressive rehabilitation, helping them recover from injury, rebuild strength, and return confidently to sport and everyday activity.

With qualifications in Exercise & Sport Science, Physiotherapy, and Strength & Conditioning, she combines practical rehabilitation with performance-based principles. Athena has extensive experience working with youth and developing athletes, particularly in injuries that require patience, consistency, and gradual progression.

​

Alongside her work with younger athletes, Athena also supports active adults with knee, ankle, and lower-limb injuries — whether returning to running, recovering after surgery, or maintaining an active lifestyle. She is known for her clear communication and calm, structured approach, making rehab feel achievable and empowering.

Billy Kissas
Physiotherapist - Sports & Strength-Based Rehabilitation

Specialties: Knee, Hip & Ankle injuries • Strength-based rehabilitation • Return to training & work • Soccer & field sport athletes

Billy works with people who place high physical demands on their bodies — including athletes, gym-goers, and manual workers — helping them build strength, resilience, and confidence after injury.

​

He has a particular focus on knee, hip and ankle injuries, using progressive, strength-based rehabilitation to support safe return to training, sport, and physically demanding work. Billy’s approach is practical and structured, with an emphasis on real-world outcomes rather than short-term symptom relief.

​

Billy has extensive experience working with soccer and field sport athletes and is currently the Head Physiotherapist for Langwarrin Soccer Club (VPL1). This role has developed his expertise in managing training loads, guiding return-to-play decisions, and supporting athletes through long, demanding seasons.

​

Alongside his sporting work, Billy regularly treats active adults and tradespeople, understanding the challenges of balancing recovery with work, training, and family life.

Ashley Chong
Physiotherapist - Orthopaedic & Sports Rehabilitation

Specialties: Upper & lower limb orthopaedic rehabilitation • Post-operative rehab • Return-to-running • Gymnastics, dance & CrossFit athletes​

Ashley works with people navigating orthopaedic injury or post-operative rehabilitation, supporting them from early recovery through to returning confidently to work, exercise, and everyday life.

​

She has extensive experience managing upper and lower limb orthopaedic conditions, including fractures, joint injuries, and post-surgical rehabilitation. Ashley has also worked in acute orthopaedic hospital settings such as Cabrini and Epworth, supporting patients following joint replacements and lumbar and cervical spine surgeries. She is known for her calm, reassuring approach and her ability to provide clear guidance during the early and often uncertain stages of recovery.

Alongside her orthopaedic work, Ashley also enjoys supporting runners, dancers, cheerleaders, gymnasts and CrossFit athletes, helping both developing and competitive athletes manage overload injuries and return to training safely. Her background in competitive gymnastics, CrossFit and long-distance running allows her to connect strongly with athletes navigating injury and training setbacks.

Mitchell Walker

Mitchell is the Director of True Active Physiotherapy with over 10 years’ experience, working across elite sporting environments (including the AFL) and private practice.

​

He works with athletes requiring a second opinion or structured return-to-performance, as well as time-poor professionals and executives who value clear plans, efficient care, and long-term results.

​

Mitchell takes an individualised, outcome-driven approach, combining detailed assessment, rehabilitation, and performance principles to guide long-term recovery.
